For my showreel I felt it was best to go for a approach where I represent myself in a way I know how to. Through my art work, which I hope is apparent immediately from my DVD navigation and jacket. Instead of taking too much direction from another animator/artist's showreel as I feel that would not be properly representing myself if I went in another direction that didn't involve my characters or artwork immediately.
I really enjoyed Tine Kluth's show reel when she came into give a presentation so I have tried to go for a similar approach as her when putting my movie clips together for my reel. No over the top transition effects, just a simple fade from clip to clip.

One mistake on my show reel that I noticed after having made my DVD was that I had failed to put my contact details on to it somewhere, and I think was unfortunately due to my frame of mind that I was submitting my show reel to my tutor and not to a client or possible employer. I will DEFINITELY be including my details in my next reel regardless if it is for a tutor or an employer. I will endeavour to keep in the frame of mind of someone always looking for employment and contacts.
